The Den

The den itself is a rather nondescript building, with a front entrance and a back entrance by way of a small but highly functional kitchen. In the main room of the den along the backside of the wall, one large wooden chair rests, belonging to the highest member of the caste, the Ubar. It would be wise to not sit in this chair. The main room is, in essence, a regular tavern public room, like any other in the city, with small tables about, furs to lounge upon, and so on. Near the hallway of the front entrance, traps are always set up, various nets and coils of rope stacked in disarray, so as to disguise where some of the traps might be.

(OOC Note: The highest ranking thief present will be in charge of traps, and which trap is set and whether the one entering will be caught in it. Dice are not needed.)

The office on the main floor of the den is where books are kept, it appears that there are no windows in the office, though there is One, to anyone looking in that window from the alleyway outside, it looks as if the window is boarded up. Don't worry, should anyone try to gain entrance through that window, there are usually any given amount of thieves lurking about there, doing business transactions, playing bones[dice] or just hanging out, keeping watch over the building.

Along the hallway are small rooms/alcoves for any Thieves that might desire to remain in the Den, at the end of the hall is a small storage closet where various items are kept for the upkeep of the den. Upstairs there are several rooms where upper ranked thieves can stay, in the back of the building is where Matheu's room is located. Another room contains items that have been brought in from various raids and whatnot, that will be fenced by merchants that the caste has dealings with. There are a few more rooms on the upper level, reserved for various caste members, one being Spider, best just to leave them alone.

On the Main floor of the building there is another hallway, at the end of it used to be the office of Kry Kalran, this room has been reclaimed by the Caste and is now the Tithing Office, maintained by Taeli Kirrin.  The door has a complicated rope lock with a set of traps on it, though it is only infrequently locked these days. Inside this office, there is a secret that only a select few know about. Along the same hallway are other, smaller offices belonging to the Inner Council of the caste. What is held inside of each only the owner knows.

The Vault

The Thieves Vault is the public face of the Thieves Caste, and is attached to the actual Thieves Den, though cut off from the Den by a set of doors that are locked and guarded at all times without fail, these guards are replaced at staggered times during the day.  The Thieves Vault has been set up for the use and housing of Caste Applicants and Apprentices, it consists of a Tavern Atmosphere room where the public can mingle with thieves, it is also the first point of contact between the public and the Thieves Caste.  Within the Thieves Vault anyone can enter and ask questions, make requests, apply to join the Caste, or petition for protection.  There is an attached Dormitory where only Caste members or those working towards being Caste members can mingle, Applicants and Apprentices are housed here, though Applicants and visitors are barred from the actual Thieves Den.  Only those that have pledged their lives to the Caste may enter the depths of the Thieves Castes true domain.
